StrongBodies is alive and well in Clark County! StrongBodies is an evidence-based strength-training program developed by researchers at Tufts University. The program is a 12 week class that meets twice a week for about 60 minutes and goes through a routine of 10 exercises using dumbbells and ankle weights. StrongBodies was originally developed for middle-aged and older adults but has since been proven to be beneficial for all individuals. This program has shown to reduce risk for chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, osteoporosis, arthritis, and increases strength, muscle mass, bone density.
