Discovery Day

If you want to learn more about a 4-H project or like to try new things this event is designed for you.
All K – 7th graders in Clark County schools are invited to attend.  Pre-registration is required.
No charge for 4-H members; $5.00 for non 4-H members

Discovery Day 2022 will be held on April 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Loyal High School.

9:15 a.m.                      Check-in just inside the main entrance of the Loyal High School
9:25 – 9:30 a.m.            Directions for how the day will flow
9:30 – 10:15 a.m.          Session 1 (45-minute class; includes travel time to next session)
10:15 – 11:00 a.m.        Session 2 (45-minute class, includes travel time to next session)
11:00 – 11:45 a.m.        Session 3 (45-minute class)
12:00 p.m.                    Discovery Day ends

Leather Works

(10 per session)

Learn about different stamping methods, tools, and stains incorporated in leather project and then create a leather exhibit for the fair K – 7 Bonnie Weber

Individuals age 12 and above not necessarily interested in participating in Discovery Day but willing to volunteer; WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU.  Please share your information with Val as to the class you would like to volunteer in and/or if you would like to be a Gopher Guide (they assist in getting kids to the proper room and will facilitate activities with kids in the gymnasium).

Following Discovery Day students will have the opportunity to attend an in person YQCA at 12:15p.m. (same location) Preregistration is required and must be done online at
