Virtual Options
The Nutrient and Pest Management Program within the University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) are offering a virtual training for farmers interested in writing their own nutrient management plans.
This training provides both the basics of nutrient management and an introduction to SnapPlus. The same training will be offered on two dates: January 10 and March 14, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. online via Zoom
NMP “On the Road Show”
Purpose: To educate farmers to become qualified to write DATCP Nutrient Management Plans for their farm.
Clark County is offering two Nutrient Management Planning “On the Road Show” classes. These classes are a low technology or no technology option for farmers who do not possess the ability to create a computer-based nutrient management plan for their farm operation. An NMP refresher class is required every 4 year.
Clark County Land Conservation and UW-Extension will be hosting classes from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM on:
- Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the Hixon Town Hall (Frenchtown Ave. Withee)
- Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the Green Grove Town Hall (Sparrow Ave. Owen)
These classes are free of charge. Bring your own lunch and drinks. We will not guarantee that any are provided for you.
Bring your soil sample results with you and your current plan if you have one (written or e-version).
This is a hand-written option, but you can attend to requalify for the SNAP program.
To register or for questions, please call Clark County Land Conservation at 715-743-5102 or Clark County Extension at 715-743-5122.
