Soil Health Meeting

LOCATION: CAM Center – W8872 Pine Rd. Thorp, WI 54771 (Corner of Gorman and Pine)
Clark County Extension is hosting their annual Soil Health meeting to provide education and updates on soil health, agricultural cropping and information about the Clark County Land Conservation Cover Crop Plots, programs and changes.
Guest speaker for the event will be Chris Bandura – Conservation Cropping Outreach Specialist University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Lunch will be provided free of charge for attendees. Please reserve your spot by Monday, March 24th to allow for food preparations.
NMP (Nutrient Management Planning) & NMP “On the Road Show”
NMFE (Nutrient Management Farmer Education) options now available for registration:
- Computer-based training onSnapPlus and updates at Northcentral Technical College and Mid-State Technical College are scheduled for 2025.
- Virtual Learning options available via zoom or self-paced website
- “On the Road Show” pen and paper training for those without the technology availability required for the other NMP options are scheduled for 2025
PAT (Private Applicator Training)rk County will host three PAT trainings and test dates:
CAFO
CAFO stands for Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation. UW-Madison Division of Extension and the Wisconsin DNR partner to bring updates and education to CAFO owners, employees, and other professionals that work with CAFOs.
